Addressing severe IT incidents

The entire email system of a logistics company failed after switching to HKT broadband from another service provider. The company was simply unable to function without PCs and email system, so onsite help was sought from IT Care Plus.

Co-ordinating various parties and providing sound IT advice

Our engineers switched the system to a back-up server manually to get computers up and running.

Then they helped with reconfiguration after recovery of the main server. If the customer encounters similar problems in the future, staff can automatically switch to the back-up server. Our engineers made sure broadband was working properly, while co-ordinating various email hosting providers.

We discovered the email hosting provider had blocked a broadband IP address, so emails could not be received or sent normally. Our engineers got the hosting provider to unblock the IP address, and the customer’s email service was restored instantly.
